N-code is a code which is converted from latitude and longitude. Dividing the world in order of a block, a unit, mesh, this becomes the information to show for an area whereas latitude longitude shows point information. Technically speaking, N-code does area search, the center of an area where N-code appointed is displayed in the center of map. The input method is as follows.
The world is divided into 30 blocks, and the block number input is shown as the pull-down style.
Please input the unit number in total four digits, east-west numbers that make two digits and the other two digits are for north and south. Only appointing a block number and unit number can also search approximate position. For example, the New York outskirts can be searched when you input only 2A, 9375, and about the indication on the map, the central location of the unit becomes the screen center.
You can search by mesh number of the arbitrary digit from one to four digits for east - west, south - north each one, and clicking the mesh number button makes the input value displayed on the top right corner, and the map is searched. In this case, N-code displays 4 digits for the center position of appointed area, the corresponded position is displayed in the center of the screen.
When you click , a maker is added on the map center and you can input any information into the position. Position information is displayed in the lower part of the maker. When you move and click on a marker, and If you feel that the marker is not necessary, you can delete it by clicking the delete button. The marker is usable as a convenient function as it prints the position information.
You can also search by address and facility name using this site. Please input an address or a facility name in the box. This search uses the geocode service which Google offers. Therefore, you can also search foreign location or facility. Some locations can be searched in Japanese. For example, "the Statue of Liverty", However some cannot be searched by Japanese such as "エッフェル塔". But can be searched through English input “Eiffel tower”. The information for the search and the N-code are displayed in message box of the marker and same information is also displayed in the lower part However, the searchable facility may be limited for famous or popular facility.
* We do not directly use the N cord for searching locations on the map. It is only used after conversion to latitude longitude. Please note that an error of 5m might appear as the base maps are adjusted maps and also due to error caused by the conversion.
